Gales and rain in Scandinavia, drier with some sunny spells in central and southern Europe


Tuesday
Another very warm, summery day is expected across Spain and Portugal. A few heavy showers to affect central parts of France with the north and the south dry and sunny. An area of moderate to heavy lies cross Norway, Sweden, Finland, The Baltic States into Poland, The Czech Republic, southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the far north of Italy. Occasional showers are expected across the Low Countries, Denmark and northern parts of Germany. Most of Italy will be fair, dry and pleasantly warm.
A number of heavy showers to affect the central Mediterranean. Rain spreads into Croatia in the afternoon while the rest of the Adriatic Region looks dry. Dry as well across the Balkans into Turkey. Cold but dry across Russia and the Ukraine. Very windy across the North Sea and across north east Europe. Brisk easterly winds will persist through the Straits of Gibraltar


Wednesday
Fair with lots of sunshine across Portugal and Spain. The Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia will be dry with plenty of sunshine. Showers in Sicily although Italy will be dry with lots of sunshine. Greece and Turkey will be staying dry too with more sunshine here.
France starts misty with some fog in places, but these lifts to leave conditions dry with lots of sunshine. Breezy in the Low Countries and northern Germany with cloud, although mostly dry weather. Poland will be breezy with some rain in the far north although for most it is going to be dry. Switzerland and Austria as well as Hungary stay dry with more sunny spells here.
Wet and windy weather afecting much of Denmark and southern Norway with widespread gales. Showers in northern Sweden. Windy with rain and showers across the Baltic States with rain in southern Sweden and gale force winds here.
