Morning Call - December 13, 2017
A less cold day
Showers, some wintry

A less cold and mixed day with showers and rain, sleet and snow showers

Good morning,

A breezy and less cold day ahead. There will be showers across northern and western areas at first, but eastern parts are likely to be drier and brighter with some sunny spells. Cooler air is arriving in Scotland and Ireland through this morning with the showers increasingly turning to sleet and snow on hills.

This afternoon sees showers turning more wintry over northern hills as well as the hills of Wales. There could be an area of more persistent rain developing through central, southern and southeastern England, further encouraging snow to melt.

This evening and overnight brings a band of wintry showers through western Scotland and Ireland, these moving into northwest England, Wales and possibly the Midlands through the mid to late evening period. Cooler air returns for all.
