Morning Call - May 08, 2017
Best in the west
Chilly, cloudier in east

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 8 May 2017
Duty forecaster: John Ejdowski

It's largely a two way split in the weather today. In the east we'll see more in the way of cloud with the odd patch of drizzle. Across western areas it will be dry and sunnier so feeling warmer here. A few showers too may be found over the Scottish Mountains. Expect highs of 11 to 15 Celsius with strong northerly winds developing.

This evening much of the cloud is expected to clear and many areas should see some sunshine to end the day. Overnight it's going to feel rather cold with clear spells and a touch of frost possible in rural areas. Expect minimum temperatures of 4 to 6 Celsius but colder in the countryside.

If you are heading abroad it's looking rather cold over the next few days across central and eastern parts of Europe with Spain being quite hot.
