Morning Call - March 22, 2018
Mainly dry, bright
Rain in the west

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 22nd March 2018
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Mostly dry with cloud and bright spells but rain in the west

Good morning,

We've a fair amount of cloud across the UK and Ireland this morning. There are some spots of drizzle affecting eastern coasts too, but overall the morning is going to be dry for most of us. The cloud should be breaking with some bright or sunny spells coming through too.

The afternoon stays dry for most with borken cloud and some bright spells, even some sunshine in a few places. Thicker cloud and stronger winds as well as rain arrives in western Ireland this morning, this then edging east into the west of Scotland and west wales as well as southwest England by the morning.

Showery rain then spreads east through the UK tonight with some showers following to the west as drier weather moves in. Becoming breezy too.
