Breezy, cold in east
Warm north & west

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 4th May 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

A dry day for many, chilly in the east but warm in the west

Good morning,

A breezy and chilly start to the morning over all parts of the UK and Ireland today. There is going to be morning cloud across southern and southeastern areas as well as on northeast coasts of England and eastern Scotland, this dispersing as the morning progresses.

This afternoon sees more cloud in the far south and southeast of England, this perhaps thick enough to give a few spots of rain. Sunnier skies to the north and west and dry here as well. Eastern areas feeling cold in the wind but warm to the west in the sunshine here.

Overnight cloud affects southern areas but the north and west stay dry with clear skies.
