Passing showers

Wet northern Scotland

Good morning,

Low pressure over the North Sea moves away slowly into Scandinavia, and pressure builds gradually from the south-west through today.

Expect a mix of sunny spells and passing showers almost anywhere, although these generally light. Northern Scotland sees persistent rain, this likely on and off all day across the Highlands. Meanwhile, southern England should stay largely dry.

A strong westerly wind across the British Isles this morning will ease gradually through the day inland, although many coasts will stay breezy.

Today's top temperatures will reach 21 to 23C in East Anglia and the London area, around 20C in central & north-eastern parts, 16 to 18C in the west & north-west.

Have a great day.
