Morning Call - October 29, 2017
Chilly winds
Largely dry and bright

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 29th October 2017
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Local brief showers

Good morning,

A bright but chilly day overall, with the best sunshine in central & north-western areas. Risk of a few showers along North Sea coasts. Brief snow flurries possible for the Scottish Highlands, mainly the Cairngorms.

A weak cold front lies across the central & south-western areas, resulting in a lot of cloud here, and a little patchy rain this morning, but this should soon all fade, and some breaks in the cloud should develop.

A chilly northerly wind, strongest around eastern coasts, but tending to ease through the day.

Today's top temperatures will struggle at 7 to 12C, coldest in northern Scotland, but it will feel colder in the wind. Perhaps locally 13 or 14C in south-west England.

Dropping cold tonight, with a frost for most places to start Monday morning.

Have a great day.
Garry
