Cloud for many
Best sun in west

Plenty of cloud for many today with the best sun in western areas

Good morning,

It's a quiet weather day across the whole of the UK and Ireland today. Apart from trying to forecast where cloud is going to be breaking, there really is not a great deal to talk about!

But let's try and deal with the cloud. many areas are going to have a fair amount of cloud through the day. Central and eastern parts are likely to be see most of it. Generally it should be dry but a few spots of drizzle can't be ruled out here and there over high ground. There will be some brighter spells too with the sun peaking through at times.

Western parts of the country will be enjoying the best of the sunshine and this will be affecting much of Ireland as well. Dry here and feeling warm. Just watch out for the risk of a frost under the clear skies in western and southern areas tonight.
