Dry and warm Bank Holiday weekend in the south

Good morning,

A dry and bright day lies ahead for many places, with good amounts of sunshine, typically best near the coasts in southern & western areas of England & Wales.

Scotland and northern England will see residual showery rain continuing from overnight into the morning, tending to become confined to north-eastern areas, but locally some heavy bursts in north-east Scotland into the afternoon.

Winds will be mostly light, although expect a westerly breeze in the north, and coastal sea breezes in the south.

Today's top temperatures will reach 17 to 19C in the north & west, locally 21C in the north-east, up to 23C in the Midlands and East Anglia, and 25C around London.

Rain develops in the north-west Sunday into Monday, but fair weather continues throughout the long weekend in the south, with temperatures 24 to 27C by Monday.

Have a great day.
