Wet & windy in north tonight

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 9 October 2017
Duty forecaster: John Ejdowski

A fairly quiet day to come across Britain but generally it's looking quite cloudy. Most area should be dry but a few showers are possible across north western England and the far south of England. Persistent rain across western Scotland turns patchy and light as it moves eastward in the afternoon. Highs will range from 13 to 17 Celsius north to south.

It becomes very windy into the evening and night. Further rain is likely across northern parts of Britain. This tends to weaken and become light and patchy during the night. Across southern areas it's to stay dry with mostly cloudy skies. Mild tonight. Expect minimum temperatures of 9 to 13 Celsius.

If you are heading abroad Spain and Portugal remain quite summery with the hottest temps in the south..
