Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Rain for Scotland, mild overall and getting brighter in central and eastern areas

Good morning,

Another cloudy start to the morning for many parts of the country. There will be some outbreaks of rain i the west, this mostly falling as drizzle and affecting western coasts and hills. To the east it is drier, although a few showers may affect southern coasts of England.

It should become brighter through this morning in central and eastern areas of England and Wales. The sun will be coming through and temperatures will be rising quickly making it feel warm again. In Scotland rain is going to be heavy in northern and western areas. Northern Ireland should be brighter, although some thicker cloud and outbreaks of rain affect southern Ireland,

Tonight sees cloud and some spots of rain once again, these perhaps turning showery later in the night. Staying mild.
