Mild, or very mild south
Good morning,
Pressure builds slightly today across southern Britain, whilst low pressure centred north-west of Scotland drives a mild south-westerly flow across the country.
A slow-moving but weak frontal zone lies across southern England, producing low cloud and murk, but only small amounts of drizzly rain. Later this afternoon and into the evening, some persistent rain may develop for south Wales & southern Ireland, extending slowly north & east overnight.
Generally brighter skies from the Midlands northwards, but still a lot of cloud. Some sunshine breaking through, best toward the east of high ground. Frequent showery rain in western Scotland.
The wind becoming very light for central-southern Britain, but staying breezy in Scotland and around Irish Sea coasts.
Today's top temperatures reaching 15 to 18C for the Midlands, south & east, locally warmer in any brightness around the London area. Nearer 12 to 15C north & west.
Have a great day. Garry
