Morning Call - August 22, 2017
Muggy, lots of cloud
Rain north & west

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 22nd August 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Humid with rain in Ireland and western Scotland, drier and very warm in the east and south when cloud breaks

Good morning,

A muggy day for most with an increasing southeast breeze. There is lots of cloud around this morning, and although dry for many areas there are going to be a few spots of drizzle around the coasts and over the hills. Coud should be breaking with some bright or sunny spells coming through, the best of them always tending to be in more eastern and southern areas.

A different story further west with rain in Northern Ireland slipping into southwest Scotland and perhaps northwest England. There could be a few heavier bursts here. Turning weter in central and western Ireland too, again with the risk of some thundery showers or rain.

Tonight sees the rain continuing to affect much of central, western and southern Scotland with some showery bursts extending through northern England and Wales.
