Lots of sunshine and a mostly dry day although cloud and patchy rain in northern Scotland

Another rather benign day of weather across most of the country again today, although things do start to become more 'interesting' tomorrow.

 
 
 

High pressure over the country today and this is going to be bringing dry weather to most. There will be plenty of sunshine for many areas and it is going to be feeling warm as well. The best of the sunshine in the west. Little changes into the afternoon with more sunshine to come.

Northern Scotland is the exception. Here there will be more cloud and outbreaks of rain most of this light and patchy. The rain continues into the afternoon although it stays light and patchy.
