Persistent rain then heavy showers, some sun

Good morning,

A deep area of low pressure is centred over the North Sea just to the north-east of Britain. A slow moving frontal system brings persistent rain to east & north-eastern regions.

Showers affect the south & west, some heavy bursts with local thunder by afternoon. Occasional sunshine. Strong to gale force westerly winds for many areas.

Today's top temperatures will be 15 to 17C in central & southern areas, but where rain persists in the east & north, only 10 to 13C.

Have a great day.
Garry
