UK Forecast - October 05, 2017
Dry with sunshine Friday
Rain returns into Saturday

Friday
A fair day with a good amount of sunshine. Often cloudy for Wales & north-west England, with a chance of local drizzly showers moving inland from the Irish Sea in the morning. Cloud will tend to build across Ireland & Scotland as fronts approach from the Atlantic, and patchy rain reaches the far north-west later. A strong north-westerly breeze in the east will ease, then a south-westerly freshens in the west. Cool, highs 12 to 15C.

Friday night
Outbreaks of rain spread from the north-west across Scotland & Ireland after dark, extending to Wales and northern England overnight. Some persistent and heavy falls possible over western hills. Smaller amounts toward the east. Generally cloudy skies, although the far south & south-east should see clear spells. A strengthening south-westerly wind, strongest around western coasts. Temperatures 7 to 11C, coolest in central-southern England.

Saturday
A slow-moving frontal system drifts across southern Britain, bringing cloudy skies and outbreaks of rain or drizzle. Some persistent falls across the south-west of England & Wales, at times heavy. Smaller amounts of rain in the east. Drier toward the north, and becoming brighter here - some sun breaking through in the north-east. A few showers in the north-west. Breezy for all, windy around coasts, especially in the south. Highs 13 to 16C.

Sunday
A weak ridge of high pressure builds briefly across Britain, although a general westerly airflow prevails. The remnants of fronts bring fairly cloudy skies, with a risk of drizzly rain on western hills, but many places should stay dry. Brighter toward the east, with some sunshine breaking through. Winds fairly light, although breezy in eastern counties at first. A little warmer for most, top temperatures 12 to 17C.
