Saturday
An unsettled day at the moment with rain and drizzle moving northwards, perhaps turning wintry across higher ground of Scotland briefly. Showery conditions are then likely to follow in to more southern and south-western areas of England and Wales later in the day, locally heavy with thunder. A breezy day, chilly in the north but much milder than of late across England and Wales. Highs at 3C to 6C in Scotland, 8C to 13C across England and Wales with a very mild afternoon forecast.


Saturday Night
Rain and showers clear northwards but bringing some further wet weather to Scotland before a clearance overnight. Elsewhere much of the UK will have a mainly dry day with some clear spells, variable cloud and perhaps some mist and fog patches. Scattered showers may move into more south-western areas of England by the end of the night. Lows 3C to 7C.
 


Sunday
Mainly dry for most of N England and Scotland through the day with the exception of a few showers and feeling spring-like for Mother's Day. It is likely to be more unsettled across central and southern areas of England and Wales with a greater risk of showers here, perhaps locally heavy through the afternoon. Mild or very mild for many areas, highs 8C to 13C.
 


Monday
Monday is set to remain unsettled as low pressure continues to dominate the weather across the British Isles. Showery weather is likely across more northern areas, perhaps wintry on Scottish hills. At the moment a new developing area of low pressure may well bringing a greater risk of longer spells of heavy rain across much of England and Wales through the day, local downpours and thunderstorms in places. Windy in the south and west, winds lighter further north. Highs 5C to 11C.
