Improving in the south next week although more cloud and rain in the far north

An unsettled weekend with low pressure bringing rain to the north and west. Next week sees high pressure building to the south bringing drier weather here. However, cloud and rain remains over northern Scotland, this heavy at times. It should be warm for all.

Monday 12/6/17
The area of low pressure will be to the north of Scotland on Monday as a ridge of high pressure builds to the south. There will be sunny spells across the northern half of the country with showers, some heavy in northern and western Scotland. The southern half of the country should be dry with good spells of sunshine here. Highs at 15 to 21C.

Tuesday 13/6/17
A ridge of high pressure over the south of the UK on Tuesday bringing fair weather here, but with low cloud on western and southern coasts. Fronts bring cloud, rain and drizzle through Ireland, Scotland and northern England, the heaviest in the west. Highs at 18 to 23C.
 

Wednesday 14/6/17
The ridge if high pressure persists in the south and east of the UK and Ireland bringing sunny spells and dry weather here. Showers in western Scotland and Ireland. with highs around 16 to 24C.

 
 
 

Thursday 15/6/17
Low pressure to the north of Scotland on Thursday as a front passes east. This brings coud and some showery bursts of rain, mostly in the north. Brighter and drier weather follows from the west with sunny spells developing. Temperatures at 16 to 22C.

Friday 16/6/17
High pressure builds to the south of the UK, edging its way northwards. This should bring sunny spells and it will be dry too over much of England, Wales, Ireland and southern Scotland. Cloud and rain affecting northern Scotland, with some drizzle on western coasts. Highs at 18 to 24C.

Saturday 17/6/17
High pressure remains in the south of the UK and Ireland on Saturday. Dry weather here and sunny too. Fronts continue to pass close to northern Scotland bringing cloud and rain here. Tops near 19 to 24C.
