Some rain, rather windy

The weather looks unsettled to start this week with low pressure in control. This brings stronger winds and rain in from the Atlantic. Later in the week high pressure is expected to build in across Britain giving dry, sunnier conditions. Temperatures are expected to rise as it turns very mild.

Wednesday 11/10/17
Windy with rain across Britain in the morning. This gives way to showers in the north and the west as the east becomes dry in the afternoon. A dry evening and night to come with clear skies. Fog patches may developing in the south. A colder night to come. Expect highs of 12 to 18C.

Thursday 12/10/17
Temperatures will be above normal. A fine, dry day with sunny spells except for rain in the north west. Very windy across the north and west. Rain and drizzle affects Scotland, Northern Ireland and western coasts of Britain in the night. Gales may affect Scotland and Northern Ireland. Expect highs of 13 to 18C.
 

Friday 13/10/17
Mild and windy in the north and the west. A misty and murky day with drizzly rain in the north and the west. Little change is expected through the evening and the night but the rain may turn a bit more persistent and heavy Across Scotland. Look for highs of 15 to 19C.
 

Saturday 14/10/17
Warm rain and drizzle may affect Northern Ireland and western Scotland and windy here. England, Wales and southern Scotland appear dry with sunny spells. Expect highs of 15 to 21C.

 
 
 

Sunday 15/10/17
It may be very windy with a wet morning. Spells of moderate to heavy rain across Britain sweep away leaving a sunnier afternoon with a few showers in the west. Not quite as mild. Expect highs of 14 to 21C.

Monday 16/10/17
It continues mild. A dry day to come with sunny spells. Fog patches though across England and Wales may be locally dense and slow to clear. Look for highs of 14 to 20C.
