More mixed weather, a drier weekend then unsettled mid next week

Pressure tends to build through the rest of the week and into the weekend. This brings drier, but not completely dry weather. There is likely to be a fair amount of cloud throughout. Early next week starts mostly dry although rain and wind may reappear in the middle stages.

Saturday 7/10/17
Fronts pass east on Saturday as the flow turns more westerly. The fronts bringing cloud and some outbreaks of rain through Ireland, Wales and Scotland with some drizzle in northern England. A few bright spells in southern and eastern England and later in the west. Highs at 13 to 16C.


Sunday 8/10/17
A ridge of high pressure is expected to build through the UK and Ireland on Sunday. This should bring a quiet day with broken cloud and some bright spells. Morning mist and fog patches inland clearing slowly in England and Wales. More cloud in Scotland where there could be some drizzle over hills and western and northern coasts. Highs at 12 to 17C.
 


Monday 9/10/17
Pressure remains generally high through the UK and Ireland on Monday. This is going to be bringing rather murky weather in western and northern areas. Mist or fog patches slowly lifting to leave a dry day. The best of any brightness in the east and south. Tops near 12 to 17C.
 


Tuesday 10/10/17
A rather moist southwest airflow through Tuesday. This is going to be bringing plenty of cloud. Some drizzle and low cloud affecting western coasts and hills. Stronger winds and some heavier rain may trouble western Scotland and western Ireland. Some sunny spells developing over southern and eastern England. Highs at 14 to 17C.


Wednesday 11/10/17
Low pressure to the north of the Uk on Wednesday. A brisk southwesterly flow affecting many areas with fronts passing east bringing outbreaks of rain. The rain is likely to be heavy at times in western Scotland. Highs at 12 to 17C.

Thursday 12/10/17
A brief ridge of high pressure may bring better conditions for a time on Thursday before rain arrives in the west later. Highs at 12 to 17C.
